Proposed Competition Weeks
Last week's LMC meeting saw the attached Structured Season approved. The first thing to point out is that unfortunately the RFU as of this date cannot furnish us with their Structured Season and therefore there is a good chance some of the competition weeks won't match up. This might be a minor issue for ADM Clubs who have lower XVs in the North West Intermediate Leagues as they follow the RFU Structured Season.
Red dates mean no "competitive" rugby and we actively encourage our Clubs to do some touring at Easter or accept touring clubs if possible.
A six week block in February/March is now known as the "Zone of unavailability" due to the 6 Nations taking place. We think that given the fact the pandemic ruined the last two 6 Nations there is a good chance people will want be at one or more of those games so we have limited the number of scheduled games in that period. Clubs of course can agree to play any postponed games then if they are both happy to do so.
The one real major change is that our League Cup Competitions.
The ADM Leagues will change from a Group Stage/Knockout format to a straight knockout involving 18 seeded Clubs from the ADM Premiership and ADM Championship in the Cup and the remaining ADM Championship clubs plus the ADM 1st Division Clubs in the Plate. The first round proper will involve 16 Clubs so 4 clubs will be randomly drawn to play 2 preliminarily qualifiers in each competition.
The Cups in the Combination Leagues will continue in the Group stage/knockout formula.
Cup Draws will take place this weekend (27/03) and the League Fixtures will be published on the 2nd April.

Stay Safe.
