One of our innovations for last season was the ADM Player of the Year in both our Leagues. Each week Clubs were asked to provide their choice of the oppositions Man of the Match.
In the ADM 1st Division this worked really well we had a high response rate, which made it hard going go thru the selections and matching them with the Match Cards. In the ADM Premier League response was a bit hap hazard but luckily one stand out winner made things a tad easier.
So mentioned more than once in the ADM Premier were Darren Wilson (LSH), Alex McClurg also from LSH plus Tom Davies (Oldham) and Sam Gee (Wigan). Scrum-half Daniel Martin (Aldwinians) earned some plaudits however the ADM Player of the Year by a long, long way was Widnes Full-Back Andrew Owens, congrats Andrew.
Meanwhile in the ADM 1st Division all the Clubs got into the spirit of things and several players got the nod more than once, Tyldesley had two players nominated on more than one occasion Mark Dickinson (10/12) and Daniel Berrisford (13), Littleborough had Forward Stuart Bairstow impress along with Flyhalf Jack Whittles. However Champions Burnley had a few in the mix, Forwards Ben Healy and Marcus Duxbury got shouts as did Richard Griffiths but is was Danny Rowlands who notched the most.
So well done to both Andrew and Danny, who both will receive a ADM Player of Year Trophy and £100 of spend with ADM on anything in their catalogue.
Here's hoping we can do this again next season, stay safe.
